The end of Act One of Adam’s Doctor Atomic is what makes opera hard to beat for emotional intensity. And the staging is knockout. On PBS.
Marley and Me seems to be the movie of choice. Sounds great. Just wondering how I’ll stifle the tears in front of my son :)
In some ways, Rotten Tomatoes has ruined the movie going experience.
Gran Torino is a mix of Crash, Grumpy Old Men, Death Wish and The Karate Kid. We really enjoyed it. A perfect film for Toronto.
